The ventilation is temporarily down, the place is stuffy and we are cold. But nothing matters as far as our burgers are delicious and the staff is awfully nice. It has been more than five months ago but I still love to think back and talk about my Russian adventure. Here are few shots from Saint Petersburg, the city of water, bridges and white nights. / Už je to viac ako päť mesiacov, ale stále si rada spomínam a rozprávam o mojom ruskom dobrodružstve. Prikladám fotky z Petrohradu, mesta vody, mostov a bielych nocí.

| happy new year and let's recap

Here are some random reasons why 2013 was great:

• I've got a car and I've finally started to drive actively. The feeling of independence is priceless!

• I've been away from home travelling for about 3 months out of the whole year. This itself includes tons of positive moments and memories - petting a baby tiger; driving on the 'wrong' side of the road; enjoying the most beautiful sunsets and beaches in Sardinia; eating a mopane worm; spending two fabulous weeks with my friend in Russia; taking tons of pictures, etc.).

• I've become an aunt to a sweet little boy.

• We've mastered a lot of smaller and bigger scale home improvements and DIY projects.

• I was going to pottery classes, missed out about a half of the course because of travelling, but it was absolutely worth to get my hands dirty anyways!

• I've started to bake and cook, browsing food recipes and reading food magazines and cookbooks for inspiration.

Looking forward to 2014!

Niekoľko dôvodov, prečo bol rok 2013 skvelý:

• Dostala som auto a konečne aktívne šoférujem. Pocit nezávislosti na nezaplatenie!

• Bola som na cestách tri mesiace z roku, čo samo o sebe zahŕňa množstvo pozitívnych chvíľ a spomienok - hladkala som tigríka; šoférovala na 'zlej' strane cesty; videla tie najkrajšie pláže a západy slnka na Sardínii; zjedla mopane húsenicu; strávila som úžasné 2 týždne u kamarátky v Rusku; robila tony fotiek; atď).

• Stala som sa tetou zlatučkého chlapčeka.

• Opäť sme sa posunuli o veľký kus ďalej v zlepšovaní a dokončovaní nášho bývania. 

• Chodila som na keramický kurz. Kvôli cestovaniu som vynechala asi polovicu hodín, ale aj tak to stálo za to!

• Začala som variť a piecť, prezerať recepty a hľadať inšpiráciu čítaním kuchárskych kníh a časopisov o varení.
