Ernest Hemingway was a cat lover. Nowadays there are about 50 of them living in his home-turned-into-museum on Key West, Florida. Not just any ordinary kitties but so called polydactyls - cats with more than the usual amount of toes on their paws. Meow! / Ernest Hemingway bol milovníkom mačiek. V jeho dome na Key West, Florida, ktorý je už momentálne múzeum, ich je okolo 50. Nie sú to však len také hociaké mačičky, ale tzv. polydactyl - majú viac prstov na labkách ako je normálne. Miau!

I've had the best time ever right here (and not only here) with my friend Irada and her family this past August. Million thanks guys, you are the best hosts ever! / Nikdy by som neočakávala, že Moskva môže byť taká majestátna, obrovská a zároveň čistá! Ale naozaj taká je a je nádherná. V auguste som strávila úžasnú dovolenku u kamarátky Irady a jej rodiny práve tu (a nie len tu). Milionkrát vám ďakujem, ste najlepší hostitelia na svete!

My favorite home decor pieces are the ones which I manage to bring back from my travels abroad. They are not only uniquely pretty when displayed but are also filled with precious memories. I've found this ceramic zebra, currently a proud member of our domestic animal herd (more on that here, here and here), in colorful souvenir store in Johannesburg. Say striiiiipes! / Z dekorácií v našom dome mám najradšej tie, ktoré sa mi podarí so sebou priniesť z mojich ciest v zahraničí. Sú nie len jedinečne krásne, ale aj plné vzácnych spomienok. Túto keramickú zebru, momentálne hrdú členku nášej domácej zvieracej čriedy (viac tu, tu a tu), som našla v pestrofarebnom obchodíku v Johannesburgu.

It was over the past weekend that I got to meet this kitty at Lion and Rhino Nature Reserve in South Africa. This wasn't the only highlight of our safari trip, of course, but definitely the closest encounter with wildlife. Don't get fooled by that innocent face! / Minulý víkend sme sa skamošili s touto mačičkou v Lion and Rhino Nature Reserve v Južnej Afrike. Samozrejme to nebola jediná zaujímavá časť nášho safari výletu, ale pre mňa rozhodne jedna z najadrenalínovejších. Nedajte sa oklamať tou nevinnou tváričkou!
